The Story of Aces & Eights

Historians trace Aces & Eights origins to the summer of 1991, when bright-eyed rookie Chip McClosky traveled to Las Vegas for his first date with Lady Luck.

She danced him around neon shine and glitz, down the strip whispering the royal voices of Elvis, Frank and Celine. She delighted him with the all-you-can-be buffet of chills, cheers and thrills. With the lights and bling of cards and slot machines, she promised he was destined for fortune and fame. He was the one! She proposed. Eagerly, he dropped to his knees... And promptly lost everything.

But the love affair had begun and if you know love - it is the most tantalizing wager of them all. Thirty-two years later, there isn't a casino Chip doesn't know, a bet he hasn't seen. Rumor has it Bob Seger wrote the gambling song "Still The Same" about Chip, who was only 6 when it hit the billboard top 100.

Countless journeys and adventures to crazy-carpet and colored-felt lands taught Chip one truth; winning, losing… neither matters. What really matters is the “luck of the draw.” And this was when Chip found the inspiration to bring Aces & Eights from concept to life. His mission: to fashionably, win or lose, comfortably clothe the degenerate.

Aces & Eights is more than a sexy and stylish clothing brand. We represent a select group that knows how to throw caution to the wind and ignore that fearful pesky ATM prompt: INSUFFICIENT FUNDS! and then gratefully accept the massive surcharge for a credit card cash advance. We are the ones that see the "Think. Gamble Responsibly." sign in the restroom and say "No, I will not. My luck’s about to change!” as we rush back to the action forgetting to wash our hands.

Joining the Aces & Eights mindset connects you to the uncounted out there that understand why it’s important to know where the $.99 double cheeseburger deals and free drink refills are - empathize with those that know the relief and hope Coinstar offers - how to avoid the shame of familiarity with not one… but two pawnshops.

But be confident that your brothers and sisters also enjoy epic, all-nighters and sending pictures of casino chips to the fallen brothers who were unable to make the trip. We tip our dealers well and gladly accept any comp thrown our way. We love gambling and we know you do too.

Hopefully you find Aces & Eights to be a fun representation of our mutual love of gambling and will wear our clothing with pride. Good luck out there, friends.
